Hypnotherapy
As a qualified clinical hypnotherapist I help people to
let go of the old patterns and negative feelings using hypnotherapy
In addition to hypnotherapy, I often use other modern approaches
such as EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques).
I specialise in short-term or brief therapy. This means
that on average clients require one to six sessions, depending
on how complex the issue is. Not all hypno-therapists work
in the same way, so I am happy to discuss with you how my
approach might help. Each session is tailored to the needs
of the individual, but you can expect the following :
- To be sitting in a normal chair throughout (no couches
required!)
- To be aware and in control at all times (yes, even in
hypnosis)
- To be carefully listened to, so as to understand the problem
and clarify the outcome
- To learn how to release emotional blocks from your energy
meridian system
- To alleviate problems in a safe and comfortable way
- To learn self-help techniques to accelerate your progress
How does hypnosis work?
Most of us would like to think that our actions and reactions
are as a result of conscious, logical thought processes. But
the largest and most
dominant part of our mind is the subconscious.
Hypnosis is an effective route to the subconscious, and
by addressing the problem at this profound level, it is possible
to bring about rapid and lasting change
Emotional Freedom Technique
EFT stands for 'Emotional Freedom Technique'.
The easiest way to understand it is 'Acupressure for the mind'.
Very simply it is the tapping of certain acupressure points
whilst thinking about mental, physical or emotional issues.
By doing so thoughts, feelings and actions can be changed
very quickly for the better. It is used by well over a hundred
thousand people around the world including medical doctors,
psychologists health professionals, businessmen, teachers,
children, entrepreneurs, musicians, and office workers, amongst
many others, as a tool to rapidly improve the quality of life.
Reiki
Reiki (pronounced Ray-Key) treats the whole
person including body, emotions, mind and spirit and creates
many beneficial effects including relaxation and feelings
of peace, security, and well-being. The session can be done
with the client either lying down or seated, fully clothed,
closing your eyes and listening to gentle, soothing music,
which helps to produce a state of deep relaxation. Gently
resting my hands upon you, non-intrusively, in a series of
positions from the crown of the head to the feet.
