Fertile Body Method

The Fertile Body Method uses hypnosis and mind-body approaches to help you to enhance your fertility

How can the Fertile Body help fertility?

Hypnotherapy for Fertility has been found to be of great benefit to people who are in the process of undergoing medical fertility treatment within assisted conception units (e.g. IUI, ICSI, and IVF) as well as enhancing the prospect of a natural conception.

Jan is a certified practitioner of the Fertile Body Method. The Fertile Body Method is a mind body approach to fertility which acknowledges the importance of working with fertility problems in a holistic way.

Mind-body medicine is an approach to health that recognises the effect that our mind has on our body, and vice versa. This holistic approach acknowledges the effect that one part, or one system, will have on another. It views the human being as a dynamic living ecosystem that strives to maintain all parts in balance, working harmoniously together.

Utilising the Fertile Body Method can help you deal with the impact that fertility problems have on your life and it can also help to enhance your fertility naturally.

For example it can help by:

Reducing stress and increasing feelings of calm and relaxation

Restoring physical, mental and emotional balance and wellbeing

Balance can be restored through relaxation, positive cognitive changes, visualisation and changes to diet, exercise and lifestyle

Restoring hormonal balance, regulating the natural balance in the autonomic nervous system, regulating and restoring healthy immune system function

Creating balance in the body can be further enhanced by creating balance in thinking. Decreasing negative self talk and excessive worry will help restore emotional and physical balance and ensure that these changes are maintained.

Identifying and resolving issues which may be preventing conception (unconscious or conscious resistance).

Further information about the Fertile Body Method can be found athttp://www.thefertilebody.com/AboutFBM/

All sessions last approximately 1 hour. The number of sessions needed varies from person to person. On average people have 3 to 6 sessions. Please feel free to contact us for further information or to book an appointment.

Life Coaching

Life coaching enables you to be at your best in your life, your work and your health. There is a saying:

Performance = Potential – Interference.

Coaching helps you to identify and remove whatever interference is getting in the way of you achieving your potential.

Coaching is based on the premise that you are the expert in your life and your current situa-tion. The coach asks you questions and gives you exercises that help you to unlock thoughts, ideas and solutions that you would not otherwise have thought of.

Coaching gives you clarity of thought and en-ables you to take decisions. It is forward look-ing and action focused. You identify your aims and the actions you are going to take to achieve them. Coaching makes sure you do actually take those actions, move forwards and succeed in your aims. If you come across ob-stacles along the way, coaching helps you to overcome them.

Coaching enables you to be at your best so that you can perform at your best.

•	Life seems out of control, or you are stuck in a rut;

•	Knowing what you want to do but can’t seem to make it happen;

•	Having to make changes to your lifestyle or work as a result of a health issue;

•	Struggling to follow medical advice such as taking exercise or changing your diet;

•	Returning to work after long term sickness absence;

•	Lacking in confidence;

•	Dealing with a difficult relationship at work or at home;

•	Too much to do, too little time;

•	Want to perform better at work;

•	Too much going on inside your head and can’t think straight;

•	Stress from work affecting your home life or your health;

•	Know life could be better – not sure how.

How does coaching work?

As a coach I help you to work through your thoughts, values, beliefs, aspirations, achievements and life experiences to help you to find the best way forward. I do this by asking you questions, providing you with tools and techniques, giving you exercises and other activities to carry out, and, above all, by ensuring you carry out the actions you say you are going to do.

The coaching process is designed to suit your needs and circumstances and is based on the following steps:

An initial free, 20 minute, no-obligation discussion to explore how Back on Track can help you.

We design a programme of coaching to suit your needs. Fees are agreed at this stage.

You receive a few written questions that, where possible, you complete in advance of the first coaching session.

Sessions are usually held fortnightly, each one lasting 50 minutes. (The first one is generally 80 minutes.) Sessions can be held weekly if you prefer.

Between sessions you take the actions you have decided on during each session and complete any activities or exercises you have chosen to do.

Visit www.backontrackcoaching.co.uk for more information on what coaching is and how it can help you.

Craig qualified as a Professional Practitioner in 2007 seeing clients on a referral basis. His ongoing professional development is focused on the structural and bio-Chemical aspects of Kinesiology.

Proactive Kinesiology

Kinesiology was developed in the 1960’s by a group of American Chiropractors. They devised a system of gentle muscle testing techniques to access the body’s Bio-feedback mechanisms. This has been further developed by the ProActive-K discipline.

It focuses on the relationship between physical structure, the bio-chemical processes of the body, nutrition, emotional well- being and the energy network, identifying factors which may be disrupting the body’s natural energy balance.

The client lies fully clothed on the treatment table, while the Kinesiologist selects a large Muscle group (Thigh Muscles) and places them into a position of contraction. Light pressure is then applied in a direction that would extend the muscle through its Normal range of movement to see whether the person is able to match the pressure being applied, attaining full neurological integrity. If not the muscle will give way (unlocked) on
other occasions the neurological response maybe one of spasm, indicating hypertonicity. This information is then used to improve general wellbeing as well as physical and intellectual performance.

Noel has a background in Martial Arts, sport and fitness, with black belts in Tae Kwon Do, Kung Fu, and in mixed styles. He knows from experience what it takes to be a top athlete, and understands the competitive mind.

Availability

Friday 09:00 to 17:00

Osteopathy

Osteopathy is a regulated health profession specialising in the relationship between your body’s structure and function, recognised for its system of diagnosis and treatment. Osteopathy was the first complementary medicine to achieve statutory recognition, so be assured of high standards. Osteopathy is a safe and natural approach to healthcare and is particularly successful with:

Back / neck pain

Sciatica

Arthritic Pain

Headaches

Migraines

Sports injuries

Work Strain

Shoulder Pain

Muscle Ache

Slipped Disc

Leg / Knee Pain

Cranial Osteopathy

Cranial Osteopathy a very gentle, relaxing, yet effective treatment suitable for everyone from babies to those in later life. Cranial osteopathy rebalances the cerebro spinal fluids and enhances the immune system. For adults, it is very useful for headache and migraine, as well as offering gentle treatment for other conditions.

Medical Acupuncture

Medical Acupuncture is the use of acupuncture based on proven anatomy and physiological methods for the relief of painful conditions. Medical Acupuncture can be taken as a treatment in it’s own right, or may be used as part of your osteopathy treatment. Noel will discuss this with you at time of treatment.

Defrosting Frozen Shoulder

Frozen Shoulder Syndrome is an extremely painful and debilitating condition characterized by pain and stiffness of the shoulder. Traditional physical therapies attempt to improve the range of motion by forcing the shoulder through the blockage, which may make symptoms worse.

The Niel-Asher Technique works differently. The technique aims to significantly reduce the pain by treating the swelling around various shoulder tendons, and stimulating a unique sequence of reflexes hidden within the shoulder promotes improved shoulder movement. This reduces treatment time from years, to only months.

Holistic Therapies

Increasingly, people are becoming more aware of the interdependence of all the body systems in maintaining health.

Holistic therapies seek to benefit the mind and body and encourage the treatment of the whole person.

A state of well-being is achieved when the body is in a natural state of balance and holistic therapies promote the body’s self healing abilities.

Holistic therapy can help

relieve stress and tension

boost the immune system

revitalise and relax

Reflexology

Reflex points on the feet are stimulated to encourage balance between the various body systems and to promote healing from within. The treatment can be relaxing and also energising.

Aromatherapy

Pure essential oils are selected specifically to suit your needs and preferences and applied via a soothing and relaxing massage.

An excellent treatment for general relaxation and easing tension . Also, specific oils can be selected for their many therapeutic properties such as:

anti-inflammatory, warming and analgesic oils to work on muscle aches and joint pains

digestive and detoxifying oils to work on the digestive system

decongestant and antiseptic oils to work on coughs, colds and other respiratory conditions

soothing and anti-depressant oils to cope with stress and promote relaxation

Indian Head Massage

This focuses on releasing tensions in the head, neck and shoulder areas and can be done over clothing with the client seated

Swedish Body Massage

A full body massage with more emphasis on deep tissue massage which is very energising. This can be useful in combination with diet to help reduce cellulite build up.

Hypnotherapy

As a qualified clinical hypnotherapist I help people to let go of the old patterns and negative feelings using hypnotherapy In addition to hypnotherapy, I often use other modern approaches such as EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques).

I specialise in short-term or brief therapy. This means that on average clients require one to six sessions, depending on how complex the issue is. Not all hypno-therapists work in the same way, so I am happy to discuss with you how my approach might help. Each session is tailored to the needs of the individual, but you can expect the following :

To be sitting in a normal chair throughout (no couches required!)

To be aware and in control at all times (yes, even in hypnosis)

To be carefully listened to, so as to understand the problem and clarify the outcome

To learn how to release emotional blocks from your energy meridian system

To alleviate problems in a safe and comfortable way

To learn self-help techniques to accelerate your progress

How does hypnosis work?

Most of us would like to think that our actions and reactions are as a result of conscious, logical thought processes. But the largest and most dominant part of our mind is the subconscious.

Hypnosis is an effective route to the subconscious, and by addressing the problem at this profound level, it is possible to bring about rapid and lasting change

Emotional Freedom Technique

EFT stands for ‘Emotional Freedom Technique’. The easiest way to understand it is ‘Acupressure for the mind’. Very simply it is the tapping of certain acupressure points whilst thinking about mental, physical or emotional issues. By doing so thoughts, feelings and actions can be changed very quickly for the better. It is used by well over a hundred thousand people around the world including medical doctors, psychologists health professionals, businessmen, teachers, children, entrepreneurs, musicians, and office workers, amongst many others, as a tool to rapidly improve the quality of life.

Reiki

Reiki (pronounced Ray-Key) treats the whole person including body, emotions, mind and spirit and creates many beneficial effects including relaxation and feelings of peace, security, and well-being. The session can be done with the client either lying down or seated, fully clothed, closing your eyes and listening to gentle, soothing music, which helps to produce a state of deep relaxation. Gently resting my hands upon you, non-intrusively, in a series of positions from the crown of the head to the feet.

What can Hypnosis, EFT & Reiki help with?

Depression

Grief

Obsessions

Overcome Anger

Panic Attacks

Pain Relief

Phobias

Public Speaking

Relationships

Resolve trauma

Smoking
